Data Deletion and Anonymization Policy
Tumbling Lab data deletion and anonymization policy, including in-app Settings requests, parent child-athlete requests, media deletion, and KPI retention.
This Data Deletion and Anonymization Policy explains how users and parents/legal guardians can request deletion or anonymization of account and athlete data in Tumbling Lab.
Tumbling Lab is operated by Diego Frez De Castilla. Contact: frezdecastilla@gmail.com
1. How to Start Deletion or Anonymization
Users can start account deletion/anonymization from Settings under "Account and Data."
Parents/legal guardians can start deletion/anonymization for linked or managed child athlete data from Settings where available.
Users without account access may contact frezdecastilla@gmail.com.
2. Confirmation Requirements
Tumbling Lab may require typed confirmation before deletion/anonymization begins. For example:
- account deletion/anonymization may require
DELETE MY ACCOUNT; - athlete deletion/anonymization may require
DELETE ATHLETE.
We may also require identity or authority verification before completing a request.
3. What Happens During Account Deletion/Anonymization
When a user account is deleted/anonymized, Tumbling Lab is designed to:
- create a deletion request record;
- anonymize personal identifiers where applicable;
- delete or anonymize linked athlete data where requested and authorized;
- delete linked evaluation photos/videos from
skill-visual-reports; - preserve non-identifying KPIs;
- preserve legal acceptance, parental consent, deletion request, anonymization event, and audit records;
- delete the Supabase Auth account after anonymization succeeds, where automatic deletion is allowed.
4. Parent Deletion of Child Athlete Data
Parents/legal guardians may delete/anonymize linked or managed child athlete data if they are authorized and linked to the athlete. Unrelated parents cannot delete an athlete.
Deleting/anonymizing a child athlete does not automatically delete the parent account unless the parent also requests account deletion.
5. Coach and Platform Administrator Accounts
Coach and platform administrator deletion may require manual review because these accounts can control elevated, coach-owned, or platform-level data. Automatic deletion may return review_required.
6. Data Deleted or Anonymized
Depending on the account and request, Tumbling Lab may delete or anonymize:
- names;
- emails;
- profile fields;
- athlete DOB, phone, nickname, and search keys;
- parent-athlete links;
- coach/athlete identity snapshots;
- appointment names, emails, notes, locations, and cancellation reasons;
- email log recipient/payload data;
- notification text/URLs;
- report media references;
- evaluation photos/videos in
skill-visual-reports.
Tumbling Lab may use placeholders such as "Deleted User" and "Deleted Athlete."
7. Data We May Retain
Tumbling Lab may retain:
- non-identifying KPIs, such as skill score, skill key, surface/category, evaluation date, aggregate counts, and similar metrics;
- legal acceptance records;
- parental consent records;
- deletion/anonymization request records;
- anonymization event records;
- admin audit records;
- security records;
- records required for legal, fraud prevention, safety, or dispute resolution purposes.
8. Photos and Videos
Linked evaluation photos/videos are designed to be deleted during athlete/account anonymization. Exercise Library media is separate generic instructional content and is not deleted by a user/athlete anonymization request unless it is separately associated with a valid deletion request.
9. Google Calendar and External Copies
If a coach synced appointment information to Google Calendar or another external service, Tumbling Lab may not automatically delete copies that already exist outside Tumbling Lab. Coaches should manage external calendar data directly. Users may contact frezdecastilla@gmail.com for support.
10. Timing
Some deletion/anonymization actions may happen immediately through the app. Some requests, especially coach or platform administrator requests, may require manual review.
Backups and service-provider systems may retain information for a limited period according to provider practices.
